About the Northwest Vintage Speedsters Club

Welcome to the official website of the Northwest Vintage Speedsters.  Our original web site was a creation of Don Shreve, a Portland member, and handled by John Black, of Washington, for many years.

We are a club dedicated to the preservation, restoration, and enjoyment of 1934 and earlier 4 cylinder speedsters and race cars of any make and model.  Members need not own a race car or speedster.

The club was established in 1975 by our Founder “RAJO” Ed Gloss and 17 other speedster enthusiasts in the OR/WA area and had grown to over 175 members from all parts of the U.S. at one time.

Our annual event is a 200 mile Endurance Run held on the Labor Day Weekend, which is held in various locations around the Northwest.  This is not a Race but just that, an endurance driving event.

Membership includes a subscription to our newsletter which is published seven times per year. It includes notices and results of our activities and business meetings, articles on speedsters and vintage races, and photos of members’ cars. It also offers free ads to members for speedsters and related parts.

We welcome all speedster enthusiasts to consider joining our club. For the near term our Business Meetings are held via Zoom.  Meeting invitations are sent to the members via email.
