My plan was to photograph the speedsters on the way back over Skalkaho Pass. Most of them decided to return to Hamilton on the paved highways that run north to Drumond, west to Missoula and then south to Hamilton. It was a 120 mile route. A few of us chose to return on the 65 mile route we took in the morning. Since I spent so much time exploring the old mining towns I was the last one heading back to Hamilton. I took this picture to show an interesting part of the Skalkaho Highway.
