Winners of the event were DaJuan Kimbell with Kurt Recknagle as navigator. DaJuan gave many thanks to Kurt for his navigation skills and to her #444 speedster for carrying them to victory. Car #444 was previously owned by Tony Eggebeen of Sunnyside, WA. Tony passed away several years ago and we are sure he was smiling down upon DaJuan and Kurt on Sunday and was very pleased #444 carried them to victory.

Second place was captured by Walt and Mary Berdan in #118. Mary had to return home early and was not present for the presentation, but Walt was very thrilled with his placement and gave all credit to Mary and her navigation skills. Mary has never missed a check point! How many other navigators can say that?

Third place winners were Royal and Connie Little in #115. Everyone was pleased for Connie and Royal. There again, Connie's navigation skills were superb and she found Corvallis! This placement for Royal and Connie was especially nice as this couple always attends speedster events and one can always count on them to help wherever needed.

The banquet was held at the Holiday Inn Express and catered again by a group from Hamilton. It was served buffet style with the best food one could hope for.
The Vern Storey Award this year was presented to a very deserving lady, Rae Ann Murray. Rae'cing displays all of the attributers of Vern: Humor, Willingness to help, Desire to finish, Safety and Promoting the spirit of speedsters. Who but Rae'cing would deserve this award more this year? Unbeknown to her, she keeps us going with her humor, willingness to be part
of the events under all circumstances, the desire to keep going, Safety at all times and above all, Promoting the spirit of speedsters within each of us. Congratulations Rae'cing, you are the best.
Again the Spokane speedster owners wish to thank our Montana friends for hosting the 2002 Speedster Endurance Run. This will be a very hard act to follow in 2005. Throughout the five days there were constantly comments about the good food, great hosts and gorgeous scenery available at our finger tips. Thanks Gang.
