Epoxy Coat One

After planking, the Bottom Rear is sanded smooth.  There are several tricks here that an experienced builder can share.  The last sanding is done with 200 grit using an orbital sander. Note the odd colored plank. It would have been better if I'd sorted that out, but it gives it character.

Then the shape is draped with fiberglass and coated with epoxy.  The first coat of epoxy is wiped on with a screed like the green plastic one below and then slowly rolled out with a small roller.  The temperature of everything must be warm... the epoxy, the sanded wood shape, and the room.  The whole project can be ruined here.  Someone experienced should help.
