Completing the Striping |
|
It was fun doing the planking. Every hour you saw progress. And there were problems to solve. It was tricky getting the strips around the sharp bends. I had to use half inch wide strips which bend easier. They end in a square edged piece that ran the whole length of the car. Then a piece with a bead on both edges was put down the center and I planked from the center out, fitting the planks against the square edged piece. Sometimes in easy areas you could glue in 2 or 3 planks at once, but many times it was one plank at a time. |
